Welcome to Coalway Community Infant School.
I am extremely proud to introduce you to our school, which is a happy, thriving and successful Infant School located in the beautiful surroundings of the Forest of Dean. Our school has a warm, welcoming and friendly atmosphere, and is a popular school with high expectations and standards of achievement. We have committed, caring and experienced staff, supportive parents and governors, and fantastic children!
At Coalway Infants we have created a happy, caring, family atmosphere where the children feel secure and valued and are motivated to acquire attitudes to learning that will stay with them throughout their lives. We are all dedicated to doing the very best for your child. By working together we are able to provide the best possible start to the children’s education.

Mr Kim Toombs
Hello I’m Kim Toombs. I am a retired Engineering Manager and became governor at Coalway Infant School when my children were attending. I have been a governor at the School for over 25 years.
I am currently the Chair of the governing board, the SEND link governor and also sit on the Resources committee. Along side the regular meetings and discussions, I visit the school in a challenging and monitoring role. When I visit I really enjoy seeing the children, and am always impressed with their behaviour, and how much they enjoying being at school and learning, which I believe is a reflection of the professionalism and dedication of the staff.
